Tux in Winter
Tux is one storey above the rest of the country … in the pearlescent white of the Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000. A height of 3250 m above sea levelensures lasting snow cover and white winter landscapes without any harm to Nature.
A special attraction: the “Glacier Tour”! With its 72 km of slops and 15,000 m difference in altitude, it is a fascinating challenge for a day-long trip!
Experience it too … 225 km of slopes… 800 hectares slope area … and 62 lifts… with a transport capacity of 107,800 people per hour offer a new snow experience every day … without waiting periods … and guaranteed snow cover throughout the year, the powder snow guarantee from October to May, and the downhill slopes to Hintertux, Lanersbach and Vorderlanersbach make Tux one of the leading skiing areas of the Alps.
Cool winter hits for everybody can also be found beyond the slopes: …ski tours, tobogganing, ice skating, 18 km cross-country tracks, snowboot hikes, 38 constantly prepared winter paths, indoor swimming pools, bowling alleys, gyms, indoor tennis and squash … and much more to increase variety.
Evenings are spent by eating out in one of the numerous Tux restaurants … That is why the Tux Sport Bus also has a night schedule … so you can try out a nice Tux schnapps. For those who like it romantic, there are the cabin evenings among friends, followed by a ride on one of the three illuminated toboggan runs. Another highlight is the curling on the natural ice rink in Lanersbach. Playing with friends, acquaintances and family can be a lot of fun.
The little ones will find much to do during the winter … there are the children’s skiing lessons with roundabout and magic carpet, the tourists’ kindergarten, the baby lifts down in the valley, the handicrafts afternoons, paragliding for children, and much, much more. Tux Kids Special: The children’s taxi will take the little ones to their skiing lessons and back every day free of charge!
